I wrote this book because it took me years, and tons of mistakes, before I figured out what the really important, doable, and not-too- expensive choices are that will protect my kids and family.

But I didn't do it on my own, far from it! I had help from the smartest Green Gurus on the planet, and this book is filled with their good green advice. Hear from Dr. Harvey Karp, my friend the gorgeous (and surprisingly green) Vanessa Williams, fabulous stylists like John Masters and Karim Orange, and children's health advocates including Deirdre Imus and Karenna Gore.

I want to share with you the things I've learned in the past 15 years, parenting my three kids and working in the natural products world. Green really is safer and better, for your kids and for children the world over. This is our opportunity, the legacy of our generation. Understanding of the environment and our positive place in it is the gift we will leave for our kids.
